The image is embedded in the aluminium and can only be destroyed by destroying the metal itself.

Metalphoto® signs are finished with a black image on silver background and are made from a special hard anodised aluminium plate. 

The process is very much like printing a picture except that aluminium is used rather than photographic paper.   A negative of the subject matter is placed in contact with the Metalphoto® plate in a vacuum frame and exposed.   The plate is then developed and fixed.  Finally, it is sealed, ensuring the permanency of the image. Learn more..
